📍Imbuga City Walk

The Imbuga City Walk is a car-free zone in Kigali’s central business district that was transformed into ‘a recreational and green space’, whose implementation was completed in December 2021. The project is characterised by pedestrian and cycling-friendly pavements, green corridor landscaping, kiosks for food and other items, an exhibition space, and a playground.

📍Cine Mayaka by IMITANA

Cine Mayaka by IMITANA, previously known as Cine Elmay (Kwa Mayaka), built in 1977, is the first and oldest standing cinema theater in Rwanda. After more than a decade of falling apart, Imitana Productions, the organizers of Kigali Cine Junction have taken it over and started reviving it. This year Kigali Cine Junction marks 47 years of this iconic monument of cinema.

📍Car Free Zone Biryogo (Mu Marangi)

Thanks to the City of Kigali’s Agatare Upgrading Project, Biryogo has undergone a transformation into a contemporary urban enclave and a thriving commercial center.
